Tries to dodge out of the way again but his arm gets caught by a tusk, he drops his knife and staggers before falling on top of the boar, crying out in pain, the boar falls over into the stream and struggles to get up. "F-france! Get the damn knife!" Tries to shift his weight and turn over to hold down the boar, both of them thrashing wildly in the water.

Francis scrambles out of the water, rushes over to the knife and picks it up. Runs back over to them staring frozen at the sight of the struggle. He accidentally drops the knife into the stream, cursing in French. He jumps into the water, thankfully the are he dropped it in was fairly shallow. He started groping around the bottom of the stream for the knife, hoping Aleks could handle for a while.

The boar escapes from under him for a moment, he jumps on the beast, grabbing a leg and a tusk to force him back on the ground, putting as much body weight as he can on the boar, wishing he had some rope to tie down it's flailing legs. "Dammit, France, kill it already!"

For the first few terrifying seconds Matthew was motionless, hoping maybe the boar wouldn't see that, yes, he was the closest of the trio and attack him. It seemed to have worked as it charged at Aleks. As the platinum blond began to yell at Francis to kill the boar already, Matthew broke out of his stupor and applied his weight to holding the creature down as well. After all, he was the second largest country on the planet, even if no one noticed him most of the time.

It seemed to work as the boar wasn't able to thrash around as much as before while Francis still searched frantically for the knife.

Aleks blinked in surprise when he felt the boar struggling less under him, looking up to see Canada. "T-thank you!" he stuttered out. He had thought the country had fainted or something, didn't expect him to be able to help, the poor boy always looked so nervous... but then again, he did have polar bears in his home country...

Matthew was now helping and he couldn't decided that if that made him feel better or more anxious. Finally his fingers brushed over the knife, and he picked it up gripping it in his hand. Nervousness overcame him as he wadded over to the two and the boar. Was he really supposed to just kill it like that? What was he supposed to do exactly? Finally he just went with it and stabbed the animal in his throat, cringing slightly all the while.

"Really?" Pauses and looks around the area, "...Have we been here before?" A confused look was made on her face, turning to look at the other nation.

Sighs in relief when the boar starts to struggle less, springing up and shoving France out of the way, grabbing the dagger and stabbing the boar again, slicing it along the neck, blood spurting when he hits a major vein. Eventually the light fades from the boar's eyes, he sighs and cleans his knife in the stream, hands it to france when it's blood free again. "Mark more trees on our way back, we'll want a clear trail to the water. I don't know if boars are territorial or not, so I don't know if there will be more males in this area, probably a good idea to settle near the beach, where there will be less large beasts."

He let go of the boar once Aleks did. Matthew was glad that he'd been wearing his red sweatshirt when they crashed; blood didn't show up as easily on it. He was kind of curious as to why Aleks handed off the knife to Francis, but it really wouldn't surprise him if the other had forgotten his presence already.

Once Matthew gets off the boar, he sighs and grabs the dead beast, grunting as he brings the corpse over his shoulders, holding the legs to keep it on, ignoring the blood soaking into his hair and clothes. "Might as well not let good meat go to waste. Now let's get back. Make sure to make the trail as clear as possible, we can't afford anyone getting lost on the way to get water."

"Alrigh..." he says walking through the water to the land and getting out. Squeezes out the water from his hair, holding the knife in his mouth. Remembers where it just was and immediately drops it, gagging slightly and making a face of disgust.

Rolls his eyes, huffing at France. "Don't drop my knife. If you can't handle it yourself, give it to Matthew."

Rolls his eyes. "Just make surer to mark most of the trees as we head back. The clearer the trail, the better." Slowly starts walking back the way they came, ignoring himself getting thirsty again after the battle, the warm carcass draped over him making him sweat. The sooner he got this dropped off at camp, the better.

Matthew started to follow Aleks. "Do you need any help with that?" he asked in a tone louder than he normally would have. The corpse looked quite heavy after all, and he wondered if the other could handle it on his own.

Francis glanced at Matthew, "I'm sure he does Mathieu... just go and help him." He says walking next to the Canadian. He then looked around trying to decide which trees he should mark on their way back.

She nods, "Well this area looks really familiar, and this tree." Walks over to a tree and looks at it. "It has the same weird marking that I've already seen before..."
