The ever important random chat/socialization thread!

So, I've been in a few forums here and there in my life, and usually there's at least one thread where, whether it's meant to be as such or not, everyone just talks about random stuff. Their lives, each other's lives, the latest whatever, just anything.
Usually it's less frustrating if there's a thread for this purpose specifically, because I have seen the amount of off topic conversation shoot to the roof before in some forums. Also a good way to make everyone not scared of forums. I tend to get scared of new forums.

So, I figure, why not start a let's just talk thread?

I'm good! Uh, I go to an arts high school away from home, so free time is quite a minimum right now, what with being in a 150 student dorm all the time eue; but as it is thanksgiving weekend I am out of state at my grandparent's house!

pfft sorry I'm not terribly attentive on forums usually |D I haven't been hanging around an active forum for a while. But!

Ah, hanging out with my cousin on thanksgiving is always fun, but my relatives.... are are grossly conservative, and there's a lot of stuff I have to suppress in order to get along, so it's always a bit awkward.

Aw, it was just my family at my aunts house so none of my irritating relatives were there.

Yeah... it was pretty much all of my mom's side of the family. my grandma and grandad, aunt, uncle, two cousins, and my great aunt and uncle. But it really doesn't matter who in the family is there, there's going to be someone who says something that annoys me. I'm not exaggerating when I say all of my family is grossly conservative.

I think the worst this thanksgiving was my grandma blaming violence in cities on mexican immigrants :/
